World Wrap Masters Mexico returned at FESPA Mexico 2022 during in September at Citibanamex Center in Mexico City. The competition featured 16 competitors and measured the quality, technique, speed and creativity of the wrappers. As well as Volkswagen Ventos being wrapped, competitors were tasked with wrapping skateboards and mannequins during creative rounds of the competition.
Hexis, Exfak, Steinel and Roland sponsored the competition. Antonio Ramirez from Vallejo Tunning was crowned the winner of World Wrap Masters Mexico 2022, he has over 17 years of experience in the wrapping industry and has various certifications from other countries like Spain, Canada and Columbia. He says: “I started from the bottom and over time I became increasingly curious about what you can create using vinyl. The coolest item I have wrapped include a helicopter, a Morgan car and my own cars of course. This motivated me to continue to learn and improve my skills, now I am a wrapper who specializes in luxury cars.”
This is the second time Antonio has competed in the Wrold Wrap Masters Mexico and comments: “all the competitors were great, the level of the competition and wrapping were very high! Winning the World Wrap Masters Mexico 2022 competition is motivational and shows how I have improved and recognises my experience as a wrapper. I feel as though this is the result of my hard work and training over the years. This is my second time in the global competition, back in 2018 I came third place in the World Wrap Masters Final 2018 so I am very excited to be competing in the final once again in 2023 at FESPA Global Print Expo 2023 in Munich.
As the winner of World Wrap Masters Mexico 2022, Antonio now qualifies to compete in the World Wrap Masters Final taking place at FESPA Global Print Expo 2023 in Munich from 25th – 26th May. Antonio will compete again other winners of other international World Wrap Masters competitions from 2022 to 2023.
