The World Wrap Masters Mexico 2019 will be held from 22^nd August to the 24^th August at the Citibanamex Center located in Mexico City, Mexico. The competition focuses on measuring the quality, technique, speed and creativity of the competing wrappers.

40 professional vinyl installers will compete for 3 days to prove who is the best installer. Highly qualified and certified judges from the United States and Europe will meticulously monitor the competition. The World Wrap Masters Mexico 2019 will run alongside FESPA Mexico 2019, the leading exhibition in digital and textile printing for Mexico and Latin America.

This year is the 9^th edition of the World Wrap Masters Mexico and to date has featured over 280 competitors who mainly hail from Mexico. The World Wrap Masters Mexico is only the competition of its kind in Mexico and the first in Latin America.

This year the Head Judge will be Jeremy Conner from the United States who will be joined by two other guest judges, Kiss Lajos from Hungary and Carlos Ruiz from Spain.

Jeremy says: “This competition is like no other, there is a unique atmosphere in the air and the camaraderie amongst the competitors in second to none. The winner of World Wrap Masters Mexico 2019 will qualify and compete in the World Wrap Masters Final 2020 that will be located in Madrid, Spain from 24^th March to the 27^th March 2020.

The winner will gain a trip to FESPA 2020 in Madrid as well as gifts and awards from the sponsors. Both the second place and third place winners will receive gifts from sponsors.

This year, the main sponsor of the World Wrap Masters Mexico 2019 is Arlon. Arlon are a manufacturer of cast and calendered vinyl who are based in the United States. In round 1, competitors will be tasked with installing vinyl on car doors. During the second round and the semi-finals, unknown objects will be presented to the competitors to wrap. In previous competitions these objects included wheelbarrows, cabinets, aluminium thermos, mannequins, motorcycle helmets, suitcases and toilets. The final round of the competition will feature competitors installing the entire side of car.

At the end of each competition, the judges will evaluate the competitors’ work and give their scores. The top competitors will then progress to the next round of the competition.

In addition, between the rounds the judges will conduct various demonstrations. This offers an innovative way for competitors to learn and improve their techniques.
 
World Wrap Masters Mexico 2019 Schedule

Day 1: Thursday 22^nd August
All competitors will wrap vinyl over a car door.

Day 2: Friday 23rd August
The top 18 competitors will wrap vinyl over a surprise object.

Day 3: Saturday 24^th August
In the semi-final, the top 12 competitors will wrap vinyl over a surprise object.

In the final, The top 4 competitors will wrap vinyl on a full side of a car.
