The World Wrap Masters Netherlands first wrap competition took place on the 23d March 2022 in Gorinchem, Netherlands and Sign & Print Expo 2022. The competition featured 12 competitors who were selected by the competition’s judges. The 12 competitors were specifically chosen based on a questionnaire and video/pictures that were submitted and showcased all their work.

Competitors wrapped different parts of a TESLA car during the duration of the competition. During the final round, the final 4 contestants each wrapped half of a TESLA car.

Patrick Vermeulen from Dutch Dutch customs won first place, Erik Koldenhof uit Waalwijk from Van Wrapworks bv came second, Lisa Masselink uit Tubbergen from Van Jabé Reclame came third and Sander Ruwe uit Tubbergen from Van Jabé reclame came in fourth place. The first, second and third place winners all received t-shirts, medals, certificates, and flowers.

This was Patrick’s first time visiting the Netherlands and commented: “It was a very exciting competition; the other competitors were very strong, and the rounds were quite hard with a short time to complete the tasks. The main reason I competed in this event was to meet other wrappers, to share and gain knowledge but I am so happy and proud that I won! It made me feel like I was recognised for my 22 years of experience in the industry, and I am still learning. I am nervous but excited to compete at the World Wrap Masters Final 2022 in Berlin, the finalists are the best of the best in Europe and the world! I will try my best and happy and looking forward to seeing old friends, I know I am going to have a great time and will enjoy what I love to do!”
