The World Wrap Masters Japan competition returns on the 1^st September to 3^rd September 2022 at the Sign & Display Show 22. The competition is organised in partnership with Japan Car Wrapping Association.

40 wrappers will compete to win the competition and to qualify for the World Wrap Masters Final 2023 competition taking place at FESPA Global Print Expo 2023 from 23^rd – 26^th May in Munich Germany. 38 competitors are from Japan, 1 competitor is from Korea and 1 competitor is from Vietnam. The competitors have a varied age range with the youngest competitor being 22 and the oldest being 53. The companies that the competitors work for include Matsuda Sign Craft, Design Lab Inc, Re:make, Laplus Design, Decorative System, YMG1 Co Ltd and more.

The competition will test the wrappers and measure the quality, technique, speed, and creativity of the wrappers over the course of 3 days. Day 1 of the competition will include the pre-event briefing, the opening ceremony and round 1 which will include wrapping of the vehicles and a creative wrapping round. Day 2 will feature round 2 and round 3 with both vehicle wrapping and creative wrapping rounds. Day 3 will feature both the semi-final and the final with the winner being announced.

Highly qualified and certified judges from across Europe and the USA will be there to judge competitors on their quality of work, technique, and speed during the knockout stages of the competition.
