World Wrap Masters Netherlands 2023 returns

The World Wrap Masters Netherlands returns for a second year from 15th March  2023 at Gorinchem and will be located at Sign & Print Expo. The competition has been organised by one of FESPA’s Associations, FESPA Nederland.

18 wrappers registered to compete, after a thorough review, 12 wrappers were invited to participate in the competition. Amongst the 12 wrappers, the 1st place winner, Patrick Vermeulen and 2nd place winner, Erik Koldenhof of last year's World Wrap Masters Netherlands competition will be competing.

Each competitive round will test the wrappers skills where they will be required to use self-adhesive carwrap films, with a specially designed visual. They will be judged on their skills, attention to detail, the quantity that is wrapped within the alloted time frame. There will be creative rounds that will require competitors to wrap unusual objects to demonstrate their ability and skills. The competition will begin with 2 elimination rounds that will end with 8 competitors wrapping in the semi-finals. As the competition progresses, competitors will be required to wrap more parts of the car. Afterwards, 4 competitors will participate in the 2 final rounds. The first final round will focus on tehcnical skills, working methods and positions and the second final round will be a creative round where the wrappers’  creativity will be judged.

4 industry experts will judge the competition and will follow strict competition guidelines. The 4 judges for World Wrap Masters Netherlands 2023 are Dennis de Haan, Marcel Vermeulen, Sander van der Pol and Marcel Tang. Hwie-Bing Kwee from Omnimark will act as the speaker for the entire competition.

The competition is sponsored by Vink VTS3M, HP  and Hertz car rental. Alongside these 4 business sponsors the competition will also be supported by FESPA’s Club members including Omnimark, Appcademy, Carwrap Templates and van der Pol Premium Signmakers. In addition, Sign & Print Expo will also be supporting the competition.

Eduard Hoogendijk, the Managing Director of FESPA Nederland comments: “At FESPA Nederland, we believe in sharing information and knowledge. That is why we decided to organise the World Wrap Masters Netherlands 2023 for the second time. We want to demonstrate how film wrapping on vehicles works and why this is such a unique profession that requires a vast amount of knowledge and experience to gain a successful result. Furthermore, we wanted to seize the opportunity to connect the wrap community with the FESPA community and to inspire new wrappers to grow and develop in this profession. At FESPA we also continue to strive to work together to create a sustainable and durable future within the print and sign industry.”

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive medals and prizes. The 1st place winner will qualify to compete at the FESPA World Wrap Masters Final 2023, taking place at the FESPA Global Expo 2023 in Munich from 23rd – 26th May 2023.
